Mississauga, the city where I was born and partly raised, is located in the Greater Toronto Area. It’s also home to Toronto Pearson Airport (although the name ‘Toronto’ can be misleading, right?). I’ve been visiting here after a long school year of teaching abroad in Guangzhou, China. I decided to capture some shots of the area where I’m staying. My wife, who is Chinese, describes it as countryside; and indeed, compared to the massive and bustling cities of China, it feels that way. The peaceful surroundings blend greenery seamlessly with houses and other structures. During the summer, the skies are often as blue as the ocean, adorned with white, fluffy clouds. It’s truly wonderful to be back here, reconnecting with family and friends. Leaving sometimes makes us forget the beauty of our roots.
