I was born and mostly raised in Mississauga, having only lived in another Canadian city for about 9 years. I left when I was 27 years old to first teach English at a small kindergarten in Japan for 3 and a half years then moving onto teaching in China. Mississauga is a small city when compared to the more populous countries such as the USA or China with only 715,000 people as of 2024. However, Mississauga continues to grow and has been building several condominiums recently to meet the strong need for housing (there are many immigrants moving to Canada each year).
