A Slice of Japan in Mississauga

In Mississauga, there is a small tranquil park by the name of ‘Kariya Park’, a Japanese garden themed park. It is a beautiful place with vivid greenery, lively little ponds full of ducks and turtles, and other features related to Japan. These photos were taken during the summer, but during the spring it’s a great place to go cherry blossom viewing due to the park being Japanese themed and covered with cherry trees. I highly recommend this park just about any time of the year to get away from the city to bare witness to a little hint of Japan within the city of Mississauga, Ontario. If you catch yourself passing by Mississauga in Canada and have some free time, take a stroll to Kariya Park.
在密西沙加,有一个小型宁静的公园,名为”Kariya公园”,是一个主题为日本花园的公园。这是一个美丽的地方,绿树葱茏,小池塘里有活泼的鸭子和乌龟,还有其他与日本相关的特色。这些照片是在夏天拍摄的,但在春天,由于公园的日本主题和遍布樱花树,这里是赏樱的好地方。我强烈推荐在任何时候到访这个公园,都能远离城市,亲身感受密西沙加市内一处日本风情的所在。如果你经过加拿大的密西沙加,有空余时间,不妨去漫步Kariya公园。

Kariya Park is named after a small city of about 150,000 people located in Aichi prefecture, Japan. The city boasts a Mississauga park (https://www.insauga.com/in-japan-there-is-a-mississauga-park-with-a-the-city-hall/) which was opened in 1992 creating a twin-city relationship between Mississauga and Kariya. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to visit the city of Kariya and therefore the Mississauga Park located there.

Kariya Park, although small and well hidden is home to a variety of different animals such as squirrels, ducks, turtles, etc… The animals being there bring upon an extra charm to those visiting the park. People feeding the ducks can be seen as well as squirrels jumping across from one tree to another. My personal favourite was seeing the little Mallard Ducklings, they were adorably cute.
虽然Kariya公园面积很小,藏在一些视线不太集中的地方,但这里却是各种动物的家园,比如松鼠、鸭子、乌龟等。这些动物的存在给游客带来了额外的魅力。人们可以看到喂养鸭子的场景,还能看到松鼠从一棵树跳到另一棵树上。我最喜欢看到可爱的小绿头鸭,非常可爱。
