Discovering Baicheng Beach: Xiamen’s Coastal Gem

探索白城沙滩：厦门的海滨瑰宝

For a weekend getaway, I traveled to Xiamen with my wife to watch a Dao Lang concert to celebrate 5 years of being together. The concert unfortunately did not allow me to bring a camera inside, however, I managed to snap some shots of the Baicheng Beach in the Southern part of Xiamen before returning to Guangzhou (the city I live in).

为了一个周末的短途旅行，我和妻子前往厦门观看刀郎的演唱会，庆祝我们在一起五周年。遗憾的是，演唱会不允许我带相机进入，不过，我在回到我生活的广州之前，还是在厦门南部的白城沙滩拍了几张照片。

Baicheng Beach is no Cancun or Phuket but it comes with it’s own charms, especially for it being in China, a country not necessarily famous for it’s beaches. One unique charm that comes with the beach is the background architecture, as China’s architecture tends to have it’s own unique style to it or a combination of it’s own unique style with an architecture style of another country. The skyscrapers here in China never cease to impress me, they are absolutely stunning!

白城沙滩虽不及坎昆或普吉岛，但它自有其独特魅力，尤其是在中国，一个并不以海滩闻名的国家。白城沙滩的一大独特魅力在于其背景建筑，因为中国的建筑风格通常具有自己独特的风格，或结合了其他国家的建筑风格。中国的摩天大楼总是令我印象深刻，真是太美了！

While being at the bitch, one could observe many people enjoying their life, relaxing on their own, friends, or with family, It brings a sense of calmness when relaxing at the beach, listening to the peaceful sound of the light waves while enjoying the scenic views in the surrounding area.

在海滩上，可以看到许多人独自、与朋友或与家人一起享受生活，放松身心。躺在海滩上，聆听轻柔的海浪声，欣赏周围的美景，带来一种平静的感觉。

Before heading back to Guangzhou, we settled down for some lunch and a coffee by a seaside cafe called ‘Sea U’ which had a comfortable and relaxing vibe to it. It was a wonderful final stop before ending the weekend trip in Xiamen. The cappuccino was well crafted and the food was quite good as well.

在返回广州之前，我们在一家名为“Sea U”的海边咖啡馆吃了午餐，喝了咖啡。那里的氛围舒适又放松，是结束厦门周末旅行的绝佳最后一站。卡布奇诺制作得很好，食物也相当不错。
