During the nearly two weeks I spent in my wife’s hometown of Jiaguan, I managed to capture some additional photos of the town at night. The unique way the river was lit up created an alluring atmosphere. The sight of the Jiaguan river area illuminated by all the lights was absolutely breathtaking! I also had the opportunity to explore different sections of the town, each with its own distinct charm.

The structures in the ancient town of Jiaguan are beautifully aged, offering a genuine ancient Chinese atmosphere that travelers often seek. While these buildings were constructed solidly for their time, the potential for large-scale earthquakes has led to modern structures throughout Sichuan province being built differently, especially after the Great Sichuan Earthquake. Despite these changes, Jiaguan retains its historic charm and is a captivating destination just a short journey from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan.

Saving the best for last, the river area of Jiaguan becomes absolutely mesmerizing when illuminated at night. The reflections of the enchanting lights dance on the river’s surface, creating a surreal and breathtaking experience. If you ever visit this ancient town, make sure you don’t miss this stunning nighttime spectacle!

That’s my final post about Jiaguan (at least for this year). I visit Jiaguan once a year to visit my wife’s family and already aware of some newly discovered areas to take photos of, but at the time my camera unfortunately had no battery power left and no way to charge it. Until next year, Jiaguan! What are your thoughts on the photos? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
This will be my final post about Jiaguan—at least for this year. I visit once a year to see my wife’s family, and I even discovered some new areas to photograph. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of battery just as I was about to capture them, and I had no way to recharge it. Until next year, Jiaguan! What do you think of the photos? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
