Huangshan’s monkeys, mainly Tibetan macaques, are lively and social creatures. They move easily across the rocky cliffs, searching for food like fruits and leaves. Often seen in groups, they play, groom each other, and curiously watch visitors. Their ability to thrive in the mountain’s misty forests makes them an important part of Huangshan’s ecosystem.
It was a pleasure to be able to see several monkeys while on Huangshan during such a beautiful day weather-wise. As I was there during a one week trip with my grade 4 students, they too, were ecstatic to bare witness to the monkeys on the beautiful Huangshan.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the monkeys of Huangshan! To me, it seemed that there were two different breed of monkeys. One was the Tibetan Macaque, but does anyone know what the other type is?
